Future Management and Construction are pleased to have been instructed by the Diocese of Chichester to undertake the building maintenance and refurbishment work of their rectories and vicarages.
Each building varies in age and design and for this reason the work has been very varied both internally and externally. FMC take time to explore options which would best suit and be sympathetic to the age of the building.
Externally FMC have: re-rendered part areas or whole walls, pointed brickwork, unblocked, cleaned and repaired guttering and downpipes – replacing where necessary. All rotten and unsafe timer window and door fames have been removed and replaced with UPVC. All the new and any existing UPVC has been coated with a PVC protection. Any existing timbers that were not rotten have been treated to assist with longevity. Fencing has been replaced, loose slabs have been re:bedded or, new paved areas created. Entire buildings have been painted, or brickwork has been cleaned.
Internally FMC have: removed and refitted up to date bathrooms and kitchens, filled any internal surface plaster cracks and prepared for redecoration. Electrics have been upgraded or renewed and certified as safe. Heating systems/plumbing has been upgraded/modernised. Where instructed FMC have removed and disposed of floor coverings replacing with new. Loft insulation has been installed or upgraded FMC have also carried out numerous small jobs e.g. adjusting doors where the hinges have dropped or, fitting new door handles – fixing a dripping tap or simply putting up shelving – the list is endless ……
I particularly liked the new bathroom, cushioned vinyl and carpets that were recently installed at a local rectory – take a look at the few photos below.
