External Maintenance (Gutter Clearance)

In addition to the larger building and renovation projects, FMC regularly carry out general property maintenance. As homeowners we are all aware of the need to protect and maintain our property – it is possibly the biggest investment we will ever make. Regular Gutter clearance should be on the “must do” list.  The build up of moss, leaves, weeds and tile sand can cause the gutters to become blocked. The weight of this along with the water when it rains can […]

Small External Residential Project

Future Management and Construction were asked to undertake a small external project for our client. The project included: Feather board Fencing to enclose the bin area. New/replacement block paving to create a pathway around the property. Building a wall to the front and side of the property to incorporate decorative screen blocks and finally laying “plumb colour” slate stones.

Vicarage Extension Completed

Future Management and Construction are as delighted as our client to have completed the extension to the vicarage. Its hard to believe this extension is not a part of the original building – the time and effort FMC spent locating reclaimed bricks and dying the mortar has in our opinion proven to be more than worthwhile, I hope you agree the extension blends beautifully with the existing building. The entire build from foundations to completion of the project has taken […]

Extension Almost Complete

Doors fitted, roof tiles on, Velux windows installed, floors being laid – almost at the finish line. Take a look at the photos below which show the recent progress on the extension. The guys have also been busy pointing the brickwork. The mortar has been dyed to match the existing mortar. This attention to detail is very important and will ensure the newly built extension will blend in with the existing building. More photos to follow shortly of the internal […]

Update – The Vicarage Extension

External building work is almost complete at the vicarage. The timber roof beams have been installed, the roofing felt is on, and the windows have arrived on site and have been installed. Our roofers will be fitting the roof tiles whilst the pointing work continues on the brickwork. Celotex (insulated board) is being fitted prior to a 70mm screeded finish being laid to the floor internally. Internal work will commence shortly when our electricians, plumbers and plasterers will begin their […]

Steel Work at Travelodge in Worthing

Travel Lodge Steel Work

FMC are now installing the steel framework at the West end of the Travelodge. The fabricated beams will be installed internally throughout the entire front of the building – from the basement to the top floor. The steel beams will provide the support required to stabilise the building. When the installation is completed the steel beams will be hidden behind plaster board walls in each of the rooms. The photos below will give you an indication of the size and […]

Extension to Local Vicarage

Vicarage Extension coming along

FMC successfully tendered to undertake the building of an extension at a local vicarage for the Diocese of Chichester. Work began a little over a week ago with turf being lifted from the lawn prior to the foundations being dug out and the soak away being created. Whilst work was underway with the foundations we were busy trying to source bricks for the extension that would match the existing brickwork . As was expected the bricks were no longer available […]

Bespoke Project by FMC – Outdoor Cat Enclosure

Enjoying a Rest

FMC were approached to create/construct an enclosure in part of our client’s garden for their two cats. A straight forward request you may think – think again!! Our client had specific ideas of how they wanted the enclosure to look. Having recently acquired two three legged rescue cats our client wanted their cats to be given freedom within a safe enclosed environment. The enclosure needed to be designed to become part of the client’s home and garden but, it should […]

Final phase at Worthing Travel Lodge.

Failing Brickwork

The scaffold remains in situ at the West end of the building. We understand this part of the building dates back to the 1800s and is in need of some serious attention. When work began at the end of last year FMC had been instructed as a local building company to redecorate the exterior of the building and undertake any building work connected with the replacement of the windows. When the plaster was removed from the internal areas beneath the […]

Travel Lodge Balconies Refurbished by FMC

Work continues to progress at the Travel Lodge on Worthing seafront . The face of the building is nearing completion – have you noticed the smart balcony areas?  The metalwork has been refurbished and wooden handrails have been fabricated and fitted by our carpenters. Although this can be very time consuming I think you will agree these little details make such a big difference to what is already a splendid building. The rear of the property is also a hive of activity – a great […]
