FMC recently completed the refurbishment of an entire external staircase at a local seaside block of flats. The work included Grit blasting the steelwork structure to remove all the existing paint returning to bare metal. FMC undertook the removal and replacement of all the severely corroded sections of metal prior to treating the metalwork with specialist protective coatings before the final coat of paint could be applied. Stair treads and landing plates were also removed and given a complete overhaul.
The wooden handrails and balustrading’s were rotten and also needed replacing. Both were fabricated by our carpenters, treated and stained prior to installation on site.
We are delighted to say the completed project looks spectacular – especially when viewed on a bright sunny day!
